What kind of future do we want for children and families, and how do we get there together?
The needs of children, young people and families are becoming increasingly complex, presenting new challenges and opportunities for the child and family sector.
To respond effectively, we have a responsibility to reflect, adapt and work together to prepare for what comes next.
That’s why the Association of Children’s Welfare Agencies (ACWA) and Fams are proud to come together to deliver the International Conference, Future Ready for Children and Families, taking place from 30 June to 2 July 2027 at ICC Sydney. Together, we recognise that collaboration, innovation and sector leadership have never been more important.
Over three days, we’ll bring together practitioners, researchers, sector leaders, policymakers and people with lived experience from across Australia and internationally. We will showcase innovation, evidence-informed practice, explore new ideas and opportunities to shape the future of child and family services.
From early support and family preservation to out of home care and restoration, the conference will create a space to look at the bigger picture and offer practical solutions and real world experiences.
Attendees will have opportunities to explore new ideas, share knowledge, challenge the way we think and take away practical tools, ideas and insights they can apply in their own work and organisations.
We look forward to welcoming you to Gadigal Country, in Sydney, for three days of meaningful conversations, fresh perspectives and shared learning as we work towards a future that strengthens outcomes for children, young people and families.
